35 weeks

How far along? 35 weeks and 3 days

How big is the baby? Coconut size

Weight class in UFC:
I am 175, still gaining an lb per week and I’m still in the UFC’s middleweight division. I would have to reach 186lbs to qualify for the next division; light heavy weight. Lets hope it doesn’t come to that since, following my current rate of gain, that would put me at 6 weeks overdue!

What I ate this week:
Enough already! Are there any other pregnant moms who are tired of this hungry/eating cycle? I eat food. I’m hungry. Didn’t I just eat? Yes. Maybe I’m thirsty. Drink something. OK now I’m sooo hungry. Eat food. Heartburn. Hungry. Eat. Stop it. Nonsense. Only want watermelon forever.

All that to say, here are the staples of my 35 weeks pregnant diet in no certain order.

Apple juice. And yes I drank half of it before I took a picture.

Watermelon cut up into cubes. This is what I daydreamed about before I went on maternity leave. Sitting in the sun, eating watermelon cubes. Oh yes, that’s the life right there!

(Side note, I eat more than this in a day, but I picked these 3 because they are my favorites!)

Mommy milestones:
I went swimming! Finally. I’ve been looking forward to going swimming (another maternity leave day dream) for months. I felt so weightless…until I got out of the pool. I almost got back in but alas, I was hungry.

Baby milestones:
I am pretty sure this baby is head down now. They’ve been laying sideways ( transverse) through the whole pregnancy but as of a couple days ago, ( with some help from my chiropractor) I am feeling kicks in my rib cage instead of at the sides of my belly. This baby especially enjoyed rolling around while I did handstands in the pool yesterday.

What’s left to do?
– I’ve starting looking around our apartment and thinking about baby proofing. That’s a new work in progress!
– I’ve started a scrapbook of some pictures we have so far of the ultrasounds, and the nursery being assembled/ decorated.
– I’ve started a list of foods to prepare and freeze before baby comes. I don’t want to do them too early. But I also don’t want it to be too late. Maybe in 2 weeks I’ll do the big cook off.
– I’ve still not packed my hospital bag, but have made a detailed list so anyone can pack it, in case it needs to be done quickly. The list is posted on my fridge in the kitchen.
